Ad Account Settings manages account-level configuration that applies across all your campaigns. It’s accessible from the left sidebar and covers four areas: Brand Guidelines, Mission Statement, Sitelinks, and Calls.

Brand Guidelines

Business Name

Your business name is the name that appears alongside your ads in Google Search. It can be up to 25 characters and is set at the account level, meaning it applies across all campaigns.

Setting your business name requires Advertiser Verification to be complete. If you haven’t completed verification yet, the business name field will be locked until that step is done.

You can upload up to 5 logos to your account. Two formats are supported:

  • Square (1:1) — recommended 1200×1200px
  • Landscape (4:1) — recommended 1200×300px

Maximum file size is 5MB per logo. Like the business name, logos can only be added after Advertiser Verification is complete. Google displays your logo alongside ads in supported formats, improving visual recognition and credibility.

Mission Statement

Enter your organization’s mission statement in this field and click Save Mission Statement. This is used by Ad Grants Pilot to generate more relevant ad content across your campaigns. Keeping it accurate and up to date helps ensure the platform produces copy that reflects your organization’s purpose.

Sitelinks are additional links that appear beneath your main ad, directing users to specific pages on your website. They improve click-through rates and ad quality scores by giving users more relevant destinations to choose from.

Eight sitelinks are automatically generated during onboarding. The platform scans your website, selects the most relevant pages, and writes the headlines and descriptions for each. Sitelinks are applied at the account level so they appear across all campaigns by default.

Each sitelink includes:

  • A title (up to 25 characters)
  • Two description lines
  • A destination URL

You can manage sitelinks in the following ways:

  • Add — click Add Sitelink to create a new one manually
  • Sync — click Sync Sitelinks from Google to pull in sitelinks currently set up in your Google Ads account
  • Edit — click the pencil icon on any sitelink to update its title, descriptions, or URL
  • Delete — click the trash icon to remove a sitelink

Calls

A call asset allows a phone number to appear alongside your ads, making it easy for users to contact your organization directly from the search results page. No call asset is configured by default — click Add Call to set one up.

Ad Account Settings – FAQs

What is the difference between Ad Account Settings and Campaign Settings?
Ad Account Settings manages configuration that applies across all campaigns — business name, logo, mission statement, sitelinks, and call assets. Campaign Settings manages configuration specific to an individual campaign, such as budget, geo-targeting, and language.
Why is my business name field locked?
The business name field is locked until Advertiser Verification is complete. Once your verification is approved in Google Ads, the field will become editable.
Why can’t I upload a logo yet?
Like the business name, logos can only be added after Advertiser Verification is complete. Both fields are locked until verification is approved.
What logo formats and sizes does Ad Grants Pilot support?
Two formats are supported: Square (1:1), recommended at 1200×1200px, and Landscape (4:1), recommended at 1200×300px. Maximum file size is 5MB per logo. You can upload up to 5 logos in total.
What is the mission statement used for?
The mission statement is used by Ad Grants Pilot to generate more relevant ad content across your campaigns. Keeping it accurate helps the platform produce copy that better reflects your organization’s purpose and audience.
Do I need to set up sitelinks manually?
No. Eight sitelinks are automatically generated during onboarding by scanning your website and writing headlines and descriptions for the most relevant pages. You can edit, add, or remove sitelinks at any time in Ad Account Settings.
Do sitelinks apply to all campaigns or just specific ones?
Sitelinks set in Ad Account Settings are applied at the account level, so they appear across all campaigns by default.
What does Sync Sitelinks from Google do?
It pulls in sitelinks that are currently configured in your Google Ads account, keeping Ad Grants Pilot in sync with your live account. This is useful if sitelinks have been added or updated directly in Google Ads.
Should I add a call asset?
If your organization has a staffed phone line and it’s a useful contact method for your audience, adding a call asset is worth considering. It displays your phone number alongside your ads in search results. No call asset is configured by default — click Add Call in Ad Account Settings to set one up.
