The Settings section manages your profile, password, user access, and Google account connections. It’s accessible from the left sidebar and is organized into four tabs: Profile, Password, User Management, and Account Connections.
Profile
The Profile tab is where you update your basic account information:
- First Name and Last Name
- Email Address
- Profile Picture — upload a square image, max 2MB recommended
- Domain and Domain URL — your organization’s primary website domain. This should reflect the domain your ads link to.
Password
Use the Password tab to change your account password.
User Management
User Management is where you add additional team members to your Ad Grants Pilot account and assign them a role. Four roles are available, each with a different level of access:
Admin — full access to the platform, including creating and publishing campaigns, managing billing, and adding or removing users. Assign this role to team members who need complete control over the account.
Campaign Publisher — can create and publish both search and Performance Max campaigns. Cannot manage billing or add and remove users. Suitable for team members responsible for day-to-day campaign management.
Campaign Builder — can create campaigns but cannot push them live. A Publisher or Admin must review and publish their work. Suitable for team members who build campaigns but don’t have final approval authority.
Viewer — read-only access. Can view all campaigns and reports but cannot build, edit, or publish anything. Suitable for stakeholders who need visibility into account performance without making changes.
Account Connections
The Account Connections tab shows the Google platform accounts currently connected to Ad Grants Pilot: Google Ad Grants, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager. All connections are managed through Google OAuth.
Use this tab if you need to reconnect any of these accounts — for example, if a connection was dropped or if you’re switching to a different Google account.
Settings & Users – FAQs
How do I update my email address or name?
Go to Settings in the left sidebar and open the Profile tab. You can update your first name, last name, and email address there.
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings and open the Password tab to set a new password.
How do I add a team member to the account?
Go to Settings and open the User Management tab. From there you can add users and assign them a role. You must be an Admin to add or remove users.
What is the difference between the four user roles?
Admin has full access including billing and user management. Campaign Publisher can create and publish campaigns but cannot manage billing or users. Campaign Builder can create campaigns but cannot push them live — a Publisher or Admin must approve and publish. Viewer has read-only access and cannot build, edit, or publish anything.
Which role should I assign to someone who manages campaigns but shouldn’t have billing access?
Campaign Publisher. This role can create and publish both search and Performance Max campaigns but does not have access to billing or user management.
Which role should I assign to someone who needs to see reports but shouldn’t be able to make changes?
Viewer. This role has read-only access to all campaigns and reports but cannot build, edit, or publish anything.
What is the Campaign Builder role designed for?
Campaign Builder is for team members who create campaigns but need a Publisher or Admin to review and approve before anything goes live. It’s useful for organizations that want a review step before campaigns are published to Google Ads.
Where do I manage my connected Google accounts?
Go to Settings and open the Account Connections tab. This shows your connected Google Ad Grants, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager accounts. You can reconnect any of them here if a connection was dropped or needs to be updated.
What should I do if a Google account connection is broken?
Go to Settings > Account Connections and reconnect the affected account through Google OAuth. This is the same process used during initial onboarding.
